This was an assignment to create a magazine article in the style of an artist. Kichizaemon Raku is a Japanese potter, who's family started and continues to practice the Raku potting style. The tradition was started in the 1500s, by family founder Chojiro. The thin coloumn widths and the background imagery highlight the artist's traditional family background. In the background image, I recreated the look of a traditional woodblock print, but added a modern free handed quality that compliments the spontainious nature of Raku's art.
